Hey everyone, I have searched everywhere and can’t seem to find a bushcraft knife that fits my needs. Does anyone know of any good bushcraft knifes that are made with, 1. complete full tang. 2 Stainless steel blade with single bevel (Scandinavian grind). 3 solid handle made out of wood or a high quality rubber type material. 4th a blade length between 4 and 5 in. Thank you very much for any ones help, I just want a reliable survival knife.

Want to add an inexpensive yet effective tool for firemaking to your bob? Then grab a magnifying glass sheet. They come in different sizes, and are only a buck or less. This one is the same size and a regular sheet of paper, and it’s very thin. It packs up really small and will tuck into my backpack easily. As you can see, it starts a fire easily and would be good for other tasks such as cleaning a wound, removing a tick, removing a splinter, reading small print, or melting plastic army men.

Is it to do with fearing an all out nuclear war or terrorist attack? Are some of them linked to extreme political groups? I have noticed many also like military-style exercises and wear fake uniforms and facemasks, etc.. Or is it just men showing what little boys they really are at heart? Not that some women don’t also enjoy these things but they’re markedly rarer

It’s solid in the hand and the sheath it comes with is excellent. It’s a lot like the Gerber LMF II, only better for bushcraft. Strap this chunk of steel to your bob (bug out bag) and you’re ready.

Here’s my survival kit in a tin. Contents include a lighter, matches, ferro rod, button compass, alcohol wipes, bandages, fishing line, sinkers, hooks, jig, ear plugs that can be used as hearing protection or as floats/bobbers, tinfoil, orange marker tape, safety pins, can opener, razor blades, snare wire and duct tape. This is called EDC (every day carry) or a PSK (personal survival kit). They often compliment other gear like bobs (bug out bags) or butt packs. You can use any container, or none at all. These kits are endorsed by special forces such as the SAS, and is actually covered in the infamous SAS Survival Manual. As long as you’ve got the essentials on you at all times. It doesn’t take up much room, and you’ll be glad you ignored your friends jeers when there’s an emergency and you really could use that…

this is the bcb survival tin. the military kit. it costs around £18 including shipping. i have used the wire saw and the matches and the flint that is it but i will give a demo soon thankyou.

This is the bare minimum of survival items that I carry every day-my Personal Survival Kit (PSK). Some first aid items, salt, orange trail tape, a sewing kit, paracord, small Gerber pocket foloder, water purification tablets, tinfoil and more. When might you need a PSK? Pretty much any time you find yourself unable to make it home, in an emergency such as a power failure or terrorist attack, getting lost on a day hike. Those are just a few of the potential situations you may find yourself in, and having a personal survival kit will make your life that much easier. They weigh next to nothing, and take up very little room in your pockets. PSK’s are the perfect level one kit, with each level working up to your entire bug out bag system.
