Awesome to be prepared, and great vid! I bring a good compass and flashlight as well.
Nice work and I'm sure you've got some people out of trouble now!
Those emergency blankets are awesome too!
Congrats on the vid *****

No offence but do you have a spare tire at home and one at work ? No why ? because you simply know that the one in the back of your car is there and ready.. You cannot break the magnesium flint striker... man that thing is indistructable and very reliable .. why do you need the alternadive matches here and there ... use the space for something else...

Well if you ventured into the forests with other people say to guide them and one of them breaks an ankle or trips and falls and hits there head, How would they start a fire? Giving the fact that they don't know how to use a fire starter and you have to leave to go get help, Now you might say that " well start the fire for them " but what if you needed to get help imediatley? then there is no time to screw around. That is why i carry so much stuff, not for myself but for other people.

Rule no.1 dont hike with strokes !Will you venture into the forest with people that "cannot chew gum and walk at the same time " ? My 6 year old can light a fire with the magnesium flint in less than two minutes.. i can do that with one hand..in under which situation you want to light a fire within seconds ? do you also carry water and shoes for the other people ?? man the first think you need to clear in your head is DONT push it in the wild with the wrong people.

First of all u never abandone an unconsious or unable to walk man alone..there is a big chance that u never make it or u never find him on ur way back. You need to carry him and that is Only if u know were u are heading or best is to stay with him and start signaling by all means ,fire mirrors , whistles etc etc.. You are his best chance of survival dont go..Hopefuly if u have done ur homework and people know your plans and timings and you are late there is a search and rescue team on its way.

i also mark my trails with flagging tape or by other means, Just because you think that the outdoors is for health and fit people dose not mean that they cant go out, I have done my homework and i have taken survival courses and if myself or one of my friends goes with me dose not make me wrong for wanting to cary extra survival gear if i can cary it it is my own agenda, I don't take risks i play it safe. I am not looking to run to the hills in the event of the worlds end.

dont take me wrong u are in much better position than many of the people out there,i liked your video. probably running to the hills is the best first reaction during water floods , earthquakes , war etc etc. take ur pack and go hiking with it for couple of days, start thinking what you dont really need and what you wish you had with you. teach your friends and explain them why the also need to have one when out on the wild.. please keep on the good work.
