Haha I always said that the real reason it used to be “get under a desk, duck and cover, and put your head between your knees” was so that you can kiss your own ass goodbye.
But really the purpose of these videos was to make people feel secure. Ever heard of “Ignorance is bliss”? Were they supposed to say “Yeah…well you’re going to die no matter what. Have a nice day ” lol probably not.
