Maxpedition Falcon 2: Survival Gear Review, Equip 2 Endure

A review of our Falcon 2 Backpack from Maxpedition. Like all Maxpedition gear, the Falcon 2 is great quality, rugged gear, perfect for a day and a half pack. On the compact side for a bag of it’s price, but can be a great part of a carry system.

  1. @xyMike3 , it’s rather resistant, you can purchase seam sealer to make it water proof.

  2. is it water proof?

  3. @Equip2Endure Thanks alot! I will prob go with the Condor just for the size but I will wait for your review of it. Talk to you later – Eli

  4. @evankoeve ,
    Hey Eli,
The Falcon is really well organized with the different pockets, if you need the volume the condor has a lot more. Both are great bags, I will try to get my hands on my buddy’s condor for a review,
    – Adam

  5. Wow that is not how it looks like on the website. I couldnt belive the Condor 2 had more cubic inches than the Felcon but now I belive it. Would you recoment that or the Condor 2? Great vid Adam keep up the great work! – Eli

  6. Good point. It’s all about your comfort level and your skill set. Excellent job, that’s great training. Take care,
    – Adam

  7. i planned on getting more maxpedition bags but this falcon 2 seems perfix forces the user to bring only items that are needed ….i try to keep it simple ..10 things for basic survival …the side straps really sench in the items to a tight fix …really a good pack for beginners …i spent many nights trying to make the falcon 2 smaller less gear …the smaller it gets the better …less is better if you have the skills

  8. Thanks, and you right Hedgehog is a great example of customer service. Like I said before, that sucks about the trouble you had with Maxpedition. Ebags is great though, I get most of my stuff from them. Hope to hear from you soon and look forward to some new video on your channel, take care and be safe out there!

Adam, I was hoping this was an isolated situation but I have recieved serveral emails confirming what I went through. Its too bad becase the design is flawless. I can do three nights in the backcounty in this pack and live weeks on end on the road. I guess I’m used to dealing with company’s like Hedge Hog Leather who are great people with impossibly perfect products. Keep up with the videos Youtube needs real honest reviews like you do. A

  10. Really!? I’m shocked to hear that. The only thing I have had to deal with them was a broken buckle that I slammed in a door and broke; they sent me a replacement and an extra just in case I did it again. Now I know that like a $4 piece, but I thought they have a 100% return policy for defects. Please let me know more about what happen if you can. I have like 15 Maxpedition items and have never had a problem. I am sorry to hear that you are. Let me know and thanks for the comments.

Great video FYI maxpedition does not stand behind thier bags. I have gone through hell with them on a bag that looks like a blind person sewed it together. I put a negitive review on thier site in the review section but they wont post it. Great designs but a very poor comapny to work with. 🙁

  12. It is very compact, so it would most likely work great for that function. The pack does allow great range of motion and is very comfortable. Plus since it’s on the smaller side you will not over pack it. Take care,
    – Adam

  13. The pack looks pretty narrow. I bet it would be nice for use while cross country skiing, where your arms need a full range of motion.

  14. good review

my pack is flippin huge, and i as i said earlier, when my camera starts working again, i will show you how big it is. maybe i will do a narrated slideshow.

  17. Im curious about this issue as well. I too am 6′ 3″ but am also a large man I need a good pack that will fit a long torso.

  18. Great review adam!

I hear ya — its even more difficult for me — 6ft 5 in and im a large (wide) dude. That thing looks like a freaking man purse on me and not a backpack.

  20. That’s my biggest complaint about Maxpedition. When I got the Falcon 2 I was shocked about how small it was. It’s a great bag, don’t get me wrong but it’s not build for large frame guys. I’m 6 foot 3 so you can see the size in reference to me.

  21. Awesome review Adam..Thanks

Maxpedition makes great stuff I just wish that local stores would carry more variety it. I like to look, touch and feel before i buy. All well.

  23. My buddy has a Condor 2 that he loves. I will, ask quickly as possible relieve him of it and get a review out to you guys! Take care,
    – Adam

  24. can you use a shoulder strap with the sabercat when you use it with this pack

  25. Do you have any other Maxpedition Packs, I would like to see reviews on them. Maybe the condor
