A review and test of the Jetboil, not really a Wilderness Survival Tool, but a great item for those of you who are going to practice your skills out in the field. Great for trail hiking or climbing areas that do not permit building camp fires. Carried in our 12 X 4, by Maxpedition, a great item capable of carrying a large nalgene bottle or even becoming a great survival or cooking kit in its self.

It took awhile because you cannot boil air, and all the heat was at the bottom of the container, not on the sides or at the top. So after the ice finally got melted, then the boiling didnt take long.

Great Vid, nice to see the Jetboil in action. I saw another video on it by RoscoeBa and she shows a plastic tripod stand that you can get that attaches to the bottom of the isopropane canister for added stability. Thanks for the test and info.

Nice all in one stove. I have the msr pocket rocket but its pretty much a three piece stove. (stove, fuel, a cup)
