I have had other people tell me Canola Oil is bad as well. And others say it’s better for you than vegetable oil. Is there a place to google for that I can get the info on this?

Hey Yank, I love your vids. I have gotton a great many ideas from you so thank you. May I suggest a substitution for your ” Fema Camp Tacos. ” Instead of Canola Oil which is a rape seed oil and is not too good for the body, a Coconut Oil and although a little pricey would be well worth the swap.

Not to sound stuffy and uninterested in tacos but the best part about that video was the fact that you are teaching your daughters about the who provides and your blessing before the meal says it all.

    I definitely will! Thank you!

I do too, I fry the beef then drain. But try mixing the salsa and beans. It’s a real simple, frugal, bachelor (very few dishes) kinda meal…BUT…it’s really good. My family loves it.

    Thanks for all you work.

I love your taco recipe! I always cook my beef alone, drain it and then mix it with the onion and garlic. I don’t mix in the beans either but I will definitely try it that way! I especially like that you make your own tacos from your tortillas. This looks amazing! Thanks!

I can not make a claim that this is the “up North” way to make tacos. It’s not really a regional recipe as much as it probably is the result of being a bachelor for too long.

Subbed. Interesting how yah make tacos in the north.

Agreed. They are starving 1/2 the world and killing the other 1/2 with processed food.

Ahhhh,,, EXCELLENT idea, my friend!!! No fractionated corn syrup in the Mexican sodas! There is something in that chemical process that is making most U.S. people fat. I don’t know how old you R but one didn’t see so much obesity in the early 80’s. That is when they started using HFCSyrup. Coincidence? I am thinking not.

  17. To continue having tacos post SHTF: Minibulldesign has a vid on dehydrating ground beef and you can also dehydrate cheese or buy it powdered from shelfreliance ( has partially hydrogenated oil ) or honeyville grain ( has msg ). What’s for dinner? TACOS!

I rarely have sour cream around. I just don’t use it enough. So….I started using a little cottage cheese on top! I like it and it adds color. I will also use plain yogurt if I have it. Good stuff buddy!
