I recently finished Les Stroud’s new book. His Survivorman celebrity status aside, the book was very informative, and easier to read than most other survival manuals I have. He speaks plainly, and offers a lot of good information .

Also, World War Z is a good read for fun.

Good books! I have found that two great books also are the ones by Cody Lundin-“98.6 degrees the art of keeping your ass alive” and “When all hell breaks loose”.
Both scientifically researched and very practical. I’ve also enjoyed the classics by Kephart and Angier. Survival is cool but I also enjoy Wilderness living.

Im so proud of you…..Also nice smirk on the Zombie book. My buddy has it and iits interesting. Be safe and enjoy the shovel. On a side note.. you should share with us in your failed attempt of snow shelter. I dont think (in my opinion) that your snow is suitable for a “cave” If it is please prove me wrong. Seiously…prove me wrong. BS/WU6

As a side there are 2 types of folks in the world. Those who are entertained with the zombie genre and those who take themselves too serious. Always good to see a little humor in all these youtube SHTF videos. That’s just me.

IMO everyone should develop personal libraries. For long term off the grid ideas and entertaining stories, I highly recommend getting the Foxfire series.
