Just imagine how bad this would have been if had been done by expert village.

  6. Good thing there are videos like these, otherwise all the American Indians would have died from drinking bad water…

If you boiled your water then you wasted that water puri tab… boiling the water kills the same stuff the tab does the only thing neither kills is chemical dilution

  8. i like it when he fakes it like this…

    eat cheese?

  9. It might seem obvious, but always look for the cleanest water. I went out after rain once, and most of the water was vaguely orange(from the local clay.) It took some time, but I did find a small stream that was running clear. Then I used the purification tablets. I also boiled it to make my tea. I would rather spend a few more minutes, than get some nasty bug. we do have a lot of sheep, and they a bug comes out of them. Water may look clear, but could have some very nasty stuff in it.

  10. if you read the posts, we were discussing what to do if you havent got water tablets at hand.

  11. I listed them below if you’d care to read,
there are other methods such as filtering the water, or if it is a desperate struggle for survival anybody knows that the military are told to drink urine as it is sterile when first passed.
    This is survival after all.
come on…. you should know this, it is common knowladge!!

  12. and what would your suggestions be for the same situation?

  13. to sum up, put two tablets in a bottle, shake, then leave for 30 minutes. You could have said that in 10 seconds.

  14. lol

  15. If you need water that badly just drink straight out of the dam stream.. you going to be dead with out water bactieria and stuff like that might kill you later.. but with out water right away you dead so id take the risk and just drink straight out of it if I need water that badly..

ive never actually lived off the land, although my Martial arts instructor kepps banging on about teaching us.
Like most people i get tips here and there probably the easiest methods i know are
1: fold leaves into water spouts to catch rain drops that flow into a cup underneath.
2: tie clothes around your legs and take a walk through long grass after rainfall.
the rags soak up the water from the grass, then you should just wring them out.

  17. Lulz totally agree. Have you ever just lived off the land and stuff? If so got any tips? And what the hell are you meant to do if you havent got water tablets XD?

  18. FIRE >:D

  19. ummm 30 mins w/o water can kill u depending on how badly u need it…

i hate videos where the expertsclaim to be able to live solely off the land, then when the going gets tough, whap out their sleeping bags pitch an argos tent, and start using fire lighters to cook their wall mart sausages… haha.
the whole idea of survival is that you shouldnt need to purify the water with tablets. Like your going to carrythem everywhere you roam just in case. :-p thats just ludicrous
