would it be more effective to have more spikes branching off from the main spikes at different angles to ensure u stab it? also, would baiting the water help at all? maybe if u dont have a hook, get a twig and stab some worms and w/e with it and have it secure in the water so the fish will be destracted?

A better way to do what? mmmmmmmm? Tie three sticks together?
All he did was tie three sticks together and put points on the end. Let me see him catch an actual fish and I might not piss my pants laughing at him.

  4. Hey guy, can you spell dildo?

I’ve always called those “gigging spears” but I dont know because me, my dad, and other locals always go gigging for flounder, so it might be saltwater specific.

And I dont know bout “stalking” a fish. But walking up and stabbing it DOES work. But we do it at night when the fish are sleeping and, hes right, you do gotta be quiet. And we also wade in the water

From what Ive heard about freshwater trout the technique might work for them too but then again I never been trout fishing.

For all the complainers on his ways of showing the skills, why don’t you make a video of a better way?hmmm…?

  11. it would be a honor to be stranded in the wild with you

Not the greatest skill to use to get food in the wild to be sured but its still useful to know. If you dont have rope you can always attempt to weave your own, use small sappling branches or your shoe string, theres aways something. More importantly waiting for snares or fishing lines to work can have a terrible effect on the persons psyche (sp?) doing anything proactive in the first stages of being lost or standed is key. even with failure to catch anything like this keeps the mind focused.

  13. thank u soo much for all the info!!!

…if you dont have fishing line to fish how do u expect to make a fishing skewer using rope… obviously a fishing skewer like that wouldnt be an alternative…

  16. bet that fucking idiot has never even been in the real wilderness….

  17. It’s too bad that he doesn’t discuss the amount of time a potential survivor would waste on these nonsense “skills” instead of doing something useful. He should also discuss the negative impact they would have on your attitude once these “skills” fail you in a survival situation.

what a dumb ass. you aim about a foot infront of the fish. i hate these people, they have no useful info to share and have never even used the skills they are demonstraighting

  19. i hate how this ass says ok after every thing he says

notice these guys never show you actually getting a fish or trapped animal or whatever they’re trying to get

  21. he is just helping people get ideas or teaching people simple steps to help themselves in bad situations. he doesnt do this to live on a day to day life.

  22. fishes can hear…thats a first timer

  23. I am a native NOMAD of the kasanga tribe in Amazon, what is survival for this guy is a day in the backyard for my brother. One bite of the kutongo bug on this guy found in fishes here would surely kill this guy. since im away from home i go to school in RIO i cant go toe to toe with this guy. you and him combine would not last 2 days in my wilderness.
