    you won’t be making a solar still with a black garbage bag. you need a clear one so the sun can evaporate the water.

    just use the charcoals from your fires for water purifacation, worked great for me for 2 days!

    Wow, why do you carry so much? Especially for day hikes…. Instead of taking so much gear, LEARN, gain knowledge! Learn not what to do when you pack your entire bedroom, instead learn what to do when you have nothing? but yourself. learn not to use fancy gear but instead to improvise ect. Just take the bare essentials and you will enjoy it much more immensely. for example…Knife, Matches, and Warm clothes. The moral of it all is: PACK MORE IN YOUR BRAIN, NOT IN YOUR BACKPACK!!!

    @24pipewrench I like revolvers too mate, you remind me of the one human guy running around with Batou and Kisanagi in Ghost in the Shell, he used a revolver still when all of them were using semi’s and smg’s and whatnot. 🙂 If you want a nice semi-auto though, take a look for the Uzi Eagle, Baby Eagle, or Jericho 941 (all the same gun, just different names). That’s one one I’m going to get, it’s a beast, made in Israel by IWI/IMI and definitely a top notch firearm.

    @DangerousFat those things are true. but that revolver won’t jam. i know i know, glocks and 1911’s are so reliable, blah blah blah. buy one of all of them.

    @airsoft9eleven well that sucks for you guys cause i live in alaska

  12. DangerousFat | May 18, 2010 at 5:33 pm |

    Be better off with a hi cap semi-auto, not enough shots in the revolver, takes too long to reload, etc.

    @sicppy666 not in every city

  17. What do you think of FEMA / RED Cross information and their Bail Out Bag kit that sells which includes all the basic needs to last 72 hours ? Perhaps you can buy this $35 with everything in it, and modify them from there IF needed… ?

    You are set for fire that is alot of stuff you should try a ronson jet lighter they are like 4 bucks and work better then any of those $50 lighters they try to sell for survival.
